Every garage, motor enthusiast or recovery operator should have this little unit - In fact, many recovery operators already have several, one for each vehicle. Above all it’s just so fast! less than 30 seconds is usually all it takes to get code names and live readings from the powerful, low-cost Superstream.
We’ve called it Superstream because it gives you access to the datastream flowing from the car’s EOBD-compliant powertrain computer, which can be very useful indeed. For example, if you received a code saying “Coolant Temp. Sensor” you could check to see if the temp. reading was believable.
If, instead, you had no codes at all, the car running smoothly enough, but with no real power, you could view the Throttle Position or Airflow values, to see if you’re getting a proper response – the possibilities are endless!
