The Specialist, exclusively from Workshop solutions is unique. It consists of a range of one-make scanners, bridging the gap between our EOBD tool, the CCR Superstream (for engines & autos only) & multi-make, multi-function machines such as the Launch X-431.
By choosing the Specialist which suits your make of car, you get all the software, plugs and harnesses for that make, together with a compact, high quality handset, featuring the brightest colour screen you haveever seen on any garage tool. Virtually every ECU on the vehicle is covered.
Specialist for BMW offers outstanding diagnostic coverage. Popular models catered for include the current 3-Series E90 and the earlier E46, the present 5-Series E60/61 and the previous E39, as well as the X3 E83 and X5 E53.
It is worth noting that, unlike some other scanners, the Specialist can access the newer, “Facelift” X5 from 2004.
As for depth of coverage, this is also superb. On the E60, for example, you could even find yourself reading how full the aircon system is of refrigerant! Sat-Nav, Xenon headlamps, Cellphone interface, body controller, service light, pad wear - all these and more can be fully investigated using the Specialist.
Everything you need is included. The current 16-pin plug and older 20-pin under-bonnet variety, a mains adaptor to facilitate on-line updates, a superb weather-resistant carrying case and a full year’s upgrades are all supplied. Additional updates can be purchased for £40 plus VAT, per year but the Specialist won’t shut down if you don’t buy them.
